For the first time since 2021, the Dallas Cowboys expect to have the starting offensive line healthy and ready to roll Sunday night against the 49ers.

Tyron Smith and Zack Martin were full participants in practice Thursday.

“This week is the week, man,” Tyler Smith said. “People have been waiting.”

“That’s huge for us. I mean, obviously, throughout training camp, we got a lot of reps together, building great chemistry. Just having everybody back up front, you just know that well-oiled machine is going to keep going.

This could not have come at a more perfect time.

Mike McCarthy says everything is “on target” and heading in the direction of having the Cowboys 5 starting offensive linemen available on Sunday vs. the San Francisco 49ers.

He said Tyron Smith “did everything he was asked to do Friday, and Zack Martin “took all of his reps” as well.

Obviously, it’s only week five, but this game is enormous in the NFC standings.

If the Cowboys want to host a playoff game, a win against the best team in the NFC would go a long way.

Tyler Smith, the second-year player out of Tulsa, missed the first game of the year against the Giants with a hamstring strain, so they did not have their entire unit out there.

In the weeks that followed, Martin and Tyron Smith missed with injuries.

Outside of the game against the Cardinals, when they had three starters out, the offense struggled, but I can’t wait to see this line play in a game together.

The offensive line has managed to play really well without being able to see the field together.

With the defensive front that the 49ers pose, this timing could not have been more perfect. They are going to need to win the line of scrimmage.

This might on be a regular season game, but it can change he mind of a lot of folks.

Right now, most everyone has the 49ers as the best team in football. A win over them would vault the Cowboys to the top, I don’t care about the Eagles.

They’ve played the same exact level teams as the Cowboys.

Yes, Dallas has an ugly loss. So do the Chiefs and the Bills. Philly has been tested in every game. They will get it again with Cooper Kupp back for the Rams this week.

I truly believe in this team more so than I have in the past. The offense takes care of the football, and the defense takes it away.

This team was not ready for the Cardinals and took them lightly, I can promise you they won’t do that again with anyone, especially the best team in football after four weeks.

Cowboys finally silence the doubters and beat the team that has had their number.

This game is going to be a dog fight, and at some point Brock Purdy is going to take his first loss.

That first loss is going to be Sunday night against the Cowboys.

Dallas wins this game 26-23.

  1. The Chiefs do NOT have an ugly loss. Detroit is the favorite to win their division and vie for the NFC crown…c’mon man.

    • The NFC North has a combined 10 losses, the most of any division in football…. That’s not saying much.

  2. One excuse I hate is: “they weren’t ready to play”. These guys making millions and tens of millions to play 17 football games a year and they’re not ready to play is absurd.

Which player has become the Cowboys’ biggest issue?

Now that I’ve had time to regroup from the loss against the Eagles on Sunday, one player remains a significant issue for this Cowboys team. Terence Steele. The starter signed an $86.8 million extension in September of this year. Through the first eight weeks, he has been one of the…

Aubrey continues to be the cream of Dallas’ rookie crop

The 2023 rookie class in Dallas – aside from placekicker Brandon Aubrey – continues to underwhelm this season. While Aubrey was setting a new NFL record on Sunday, Luke Schoonmaker was coming up short in a crucial situation. But at least he got on the stat sheet. Which is more…

How this strong offensive unit is set to take center stage

Famous Author Ronald Wright stated, “Each time history repeats itself, the price goes up.” That has to be the case for the Dallas Cowboys. Last season, in week 6, Dallas played the Philadelphia close with Cooper Rush at the helm. If memory serves me, that ballgame ended with a score…

DAL at PHI: 6 plays that altered the outcome of the game

The Dallas Cowboys went into Philadelphia on Sunday, and played a hard fought game where they came up just short. Philadelphia squeaked by Dallas 28-23, and needed a defensive stand at the end of the game to keep the Cowboys from scoring the game winning touchdown. There were several big…
