Cowboys execute all 3 phases at perfect time in the season

The Dallas Cowboys handled their business yesterday in every aspect of the game.

It started with the offense scoring on the opening drive with a great throw up the seam that resulted in an incredible grab by TE Jake Ferguson for an 18-yard touchdown.

DaRon Bland did what he does best and returned an interception for a touchdown; Sam Williams blocked a punt out of the back of the end zone for a safety.

The list goes on, but I want to touch on a few things that this team hasn’t done to this point in the season, and the outlook in the standings over the next month.

NFC East up for grabs

The most complete team win came right at the perfect time.

Next week this team has every chance in the world to take complete control of the NFC East and not give it back.

The Eagles lead with a 7-and-1 record, but a loss to Dallas would give them two losses the same as Dallas. The Eagles have a bye in week 10.

The Cowboys follow up next week with the Giants, Panthers, and Commanders.

While the Eagles have the Chiefs, Bills, and 49ers. By the end of November, they could be up three-plus games in the standings.

I am on the edge of truly believing in this football team.

They win Sunday, I will be all on board.

Mike McCarthy finally got the message that he was being way too conservative on offense.

This is the most they have pushed the ball downfield all season.

They stopped forcing the run game, as I noted last week, and just let the plays come to them.

They also did something else that is key.

They have seemed to understand that moving away from forcing the ball to Michael Gallup will not work.

Brandin Cooks has been involved the last two weeks, and the offense has looked better because of it.

Say what you wish, but guess which team hasn’t lost a game since that ugly, embarrassing loss to the 49ers, and which team is 0-3 since then?

The Dallas Cowboys got punched in the mouth, made the changes they needed on offense, and have played two really good football games since.

Have to give credit where it is due.

Prescott, who since that 49ers can has been the best quarterback in football.

Folks can say what they want, but sitting at 5-2, since Jerry Jones took over in 1989, the Cowboys have been 5-2 or better 13 times and made the playoffs on 12 occasions.

IF this team can play the way they have on offense the last two weeks, they are the best team in the NFC.

I have no doubt in my mind.

Beat the Eagles this Sunday, and now we are talking about the Cowboys as the best team in this conference without question.

Will this be the same Cowboys or are they going to show up Sunday, and finally prove a LOT of people wrong?
