Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey has been named the NFC special teams player of the month for October.
Aubrey hit all eight of his field goals during the month, two of which came from beyond 50 yards.
Aubrey is PERFECT on the year. 18-for-18 and 17-for-18 on extra points. All 23 kickoffs resulted in touchbacks.
His only miss PAT came after the first touchdown of the season.
Aubrey also won the player of the week for his performance against the Rams. He has been the best kicker in football thus far.

After he missed that, I said here we go again. Since then, he has been absolutely money!
Aubrey also etched his name in the history books in Sunday’s win against the Rams.
He tied the NFL record for most consecutive field goals to start a career with 18. Aubrey will have a chance to sit alone at the top of the record books if he makes his first attempt on Sunday.
As the season goes on, he will miss, and I will forgive him because of the start he is on. I would never have guessed this is how it would have gone.
With the honor, Aubrey became the first Cowboys player in 24 years to win this monthly award and the fourth in team history, joining Jason Tucker (1999), Richie Cunningham (1997), and Chris Boniol (1996).

Aubrey is the second Cowboys player this year to win a monthly award, as Micah Parsons was named NFC Defensive Player of the Month for September.
The Cowboys travel to Philly to take on the Eagles this weekend this a chance to take control of the NFC East and a top two seed in the conference.
I feel a lot better about their chance after the last few weeks.
They look better on offense and defense. The Rams have one of the best duos at wide receiver and the Cowboys held them in check.
The offense finally woke up and did a lot of good things they will need to do this Sunday.
All three phases need to show up again if they want to put the league on notice. They win this game, a lot of folks are going to be eating crow come Monday.
Aubrey is going to have his chances to make some more field goals, let’s hope he stays hot.

For those that don’t know
Aubrey played soccer at Notre Dame, making 76 appearances and scoring 15 goals.
He was drafted by the Toronto FC 21st overall in the 2017 MLS draft.
After being unable to find his footing at the pro level, he decided to try football.
In 2019, Aubrey started training with a coach full-time and independently in his garage during the pandemic.
He then got a chance in the USFL.
He was picked up by the Birmingham Stallions in 2022. Aubrey went on to make the All-USFL first team and two league titles.
It is crazy how well he has kicked thus far in the season, I am happy for him.
